I\'ll be interested to see how the tuning stabiltiy is if you gig it. I\'ve heard anecdotally that the Travis Beans were prone to going out of tune, since aluminium has a much higher thermal expansion coefficient than maple or mahogany etc.
Good point. Little bit of research reveals it's about double. I'd always thought the strings heating/cooling had more effect on tuning stability than the entire neck.
Any loss of stability due to the aluminium neck will be more than offset by the fact that this guitar hasn't got a funny trem system or floating bridge though.
