Lights Action, a band from London, are literally showing people how to write great infectious epic pop songs on Welcome To The New Cold World.

While this band aren't exactly the epitome of originality, they will gain respect by mixing pop structures and melodies with a heavier more experimental guitar sound which will, almost certainly, give them the chance to be an underground band achieving mainstream success in the future.

Taking up the baton from bands like Hope Of The States and mixing it with bands like Secret Machines and Aereogramme, every track is full of beautiful post rock-esque guitars, warming vocals and huge sing-along choruses that will keep everyone from a teenage music fan to their mother ecstatically happy.
There is no doubt that if there is any justice in the world, Lights Action will be huge in 2009.
