KING WITH NO THRONE - KING WITH NO THRONE

“King With No Throne” are a laid-back Swiss-Australian combination who have an atmospheric way with their instruments: creating a hallucinate ambience of whines and high-pitched swirls surrounding the dreamy forefront of keyboards. The vocals on the first track aren't anything to sing about, excuse the pun, so it's lucky for is that the lyrics are minimal, letting the aura roam proudly from your speakers and majestically fill the roam.

Reto Wittwerf combines a Pink Floyd-esque psychedelic feeling with a languidity that merged when the two, Wittwerf and Kasem Chouja, met in a backpacker's hostel in Sydney. This laid-back approach to life has evidently rubbed off on their superb almost submissive music.

Even though they aren't universally recognised and probably won't be in the near future, the music they create is out-of-the-ordinary, in a good way. Long held notes and the occasional guitar solo is a winning combination for the atmospheric duo.
