Angels Fight The City - Demo

Since their conception, just two years ago, Angels Fight The City have won kudos from Rolling Stone magazine, toured with Razorlight, and made thousands upon thousands of indie scenesters salivate with excitement. Yet these three songs, foetally underformed, naked and premature, are their only children. 'Alice' is a prosaic story of teenage misadventure, 'If You Kill The Hostage' combines pseudo-poetic sloganeering with relentless musical intent, and 'Good Inside You' is infected with hormonal lyrical innuendo. Everything about AFTC, from the subtle erotic tension that perverts every note of their understated lo-fi tunes, to their über-stylish name is just too darn cool to be true, and herein lies the dilemma: If they could somehow break thorough the suspicious walls of image and awe which enclose their purest passions, AFTC could storm the very same NYC dive bars as The Strokes, Blondie and The Velvet Underground, bands they idolise so transparently.
