Confidently played, cleanly produced and with eye-catching US pulp style artwork, Irish boys Duped tick plenty of boxes with this EP, but sadly the songs themselves lack the excitement factor that would make for repeated listens.

They'll no doubt roll their eyes at comparisons to the Thrills, but bouncy foot-tapper 'I Can't Win' is certainly their ' Santa Cruz ' while elsewhere a tour supporting cuddly AOR uncle Neil Finn seems to beckon. Hard to dislike, but it's equally tough to see young music fans taking an interest in tunes with so little bite.
