Here's the Lowdown: "From the team behind Smack the Pony, this genre-defying comedy continues to prove that filming in a hospital doesn't have to involve any reference to medical issues. Part surreal soap, part comedy drama, its characters now face the unenviable task of clearing up the mess they left behind at the end of series one.

The same ensemble cast are in place for more brilliantly observed, sophisticated mayhem. Tamsin Greig (Black Books, The Archers) is the idiosyncratic Dr. Caroline Todd; Julian Rhind-Tutt, (The Madness of King George, Notting Hill), the fop-haired, wise-cracking heartthrob Dr MaCartney; Steve Mangan (Confetti, I'm Alan Partridge, Adrian Mole - The Cappuccino Years) the lustful love god Guy Secretan; Mark Heap (Brass Eye, Spaced, Big Train, Happiness) as the stammering, neurotic Statham; Pippa Haywood (The Brittas Empire, Dalziel and Pascoe) the tyrannical, age-obsessed Joanna Clore; Michelle Gomez (The Book Group) the terrifyingly unpredictable staff liaison officer Sue White; Karl Theobald (Chef) the endearing failure Martin Dear; the bumbling Harriet, Olivia Coleman (Peep Show) and Oliver Chris, Dr Statham's nemesis student, Boyce. Green Wing Series 2 also stars Sally Phillips and Sarah Alexander from the hit comedy sketch show, Smack The Pony.
