Formed in early 2005, GoodBooks' early releases (the Valves & Robots EP on Stitch-Up in June 2005 and Walk With Me on Transgressive in April 2006) rapidly cemented their reputation as one of the UK's most promising new bands, and led to the NME including them in their list of 10 bands to look out for in 2006. Signing to Columbia Records in early summer 2006, they released a download only single, Turn It Back, in August, and have performed alongside the likes of Art Brut, Mystery Jets and The Young Knives.
Citing the likes of Kraftwerk, XTC, Pulp and Hot Chip as influences, the band are currently finalising plans for their debut album which will be released in the early part of 2007.
