Babyshambles - The Blinding.
Bill Cummings 12/11/2006
Whatever your point of view on the fella, its fair to say that Pete Doherty is someone people want to hear about. Whether its his trips to rehab, his on off relationship with Kate Moss or the art he makes with syringes of his own blood, the press have a morbid fascination with someone who has been labelled both a "junkie loser" and a "musical genius." Last week's arena documentary on BBC2 showed him up to be a likeable, talented, if completely insecure and often erratic young man, now he has to let his music do the talking can it live up the hype? You decide. The first answer to this question will come on December the 4th, with the Parlophone release of 5 track Babyshambles EP "The Blinding", featuring all new compositions . The video links for the track 'THE BLINDING' are below.

Original tickets remain valid for the 5 October dates the band postponed to allow Pete Doherty the time and space he needed to continue his recovery from addiction. They are now scheduled amongst a further seven new dates in December.
The full tour dates are:
DECEMBER 4 NEWCASTLE ACADEMY
5 LIVERPOOL ACADEMY
6 BRISTOL ACADEMY
7 LONDON HAMMERSMITH APOLLO
8 LINCOLN ENGINE
9 INVERNESS IRONWORKS
10 GLASGOW ACADEMY
11 MIDDLESBROUGH TOWN HALL

The group said today; "It was always our intention to play these dates. Doing them in December means that Peter will have the time to continue with his great efforts to recover. With hindsight, it was too much for him to get back into touring so quickly after his discharge from rehab. The extra couple of months will ensure that he is in good shape for the December dates".
