Maximo Park celebrate the release of their new album, Our Earthly Pleasures (released April 2nd) with a very special performance on the roof of The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, situated on the banks of the Tyne in the bands home town of Newcastle on Wednesday 28th March.

A tiny allocation of tickets will be available to the public from RPM record shop, 25 Highbridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1EW. The wristbands go onsale at 10am on Tuesday 27th March and are restricted to one per person and are priced at £5.00 (+ BF of 50p). Please get there early to have a chance of being one of the lucky ones.

The bands new single Our Velocity is released this week through Warp Records. They have also been invited to cut the red tape and sign copies of their new single at the opening of a new HMV store in Liverpool this Thursday (22nd March) at 4.30pm.

The band will also play a midnight instore performance on Sunday 1 April at HMV Newcastle, 56 Northumberland Street, NEWCASTLE, NE1 7AE. Entry is via wristband only, obtained at the store.

Maxïmo Park's European tour sold out with in hours of going onsale and more dates and Festival appearances have just been announced. The bands, sixteen-date, sold out UK tour kicks off in Cardiff on Monday 23rd of April and culminates at The Forum in London on May 12th.

Our Earthly Pleasures, produced by Gil Norton, is the follow-up to Maxïmo Park's Nationwide Mercury Prize nominated debut album, A Certain Trigger, which delivered four Top Twenty singles including Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti and Going Missing.
