Giant Drag's Annie Hardy www.giantdrag.com

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival? Do you have anything special planned?

We never really plan things out past having a set list of songs. So I guess expect music, me talking between the music and Micah sweating profusely.

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

I like that it's a new festival and I both like and am perplexed by the fact that we appear to be playing on the main stage. I thought maybe that was a typo, I guess we'll find out at the festival. I also like that it is in England and everyone speaks English there and will be able to understand me if I make a joke. That was difficult in Germany and France.

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

I'm interested to see Regina Spektor. I haven't heard too much of her music but I think it's quite unusual and good.

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

We are currently on tour right now, playing a bunch of European and UK festivals with some headlining shows in between. After this we go home for a bit, play something called Fuck Yeah Fest in LA and then come back to the UK for Reading and Leeds which we are excited about.

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

Hmm, I have stories, don't know if they're interesting or not. We played Coachella Festival this year which was really great but at one point I somehow got stuck in the hoard of people that were going to see Madonna play in this tiny dance tent. I got stuck for two hours playing human Tetris trying to get back to the dressing room. Then I got in a fight with some guy in line for the VIP area who told me I probably got my artist wristband from some guy I know in a band and when I told him I had played the second stage he said "well you weren't here TWELVE years ago when Rage (Against the Machine) played so what the fuck do you know?!". I do know the festival is only 11 years old, idiot!

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival?

Do you have anything special planned?

An all-singing, all-dancing glamour attack courtesy of three lovely harmonizing ladies, three swinging chaps, a violin, an accordion and a melodica.

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

The incredible and varied programme on offer.

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

Anthony and the Johnsons

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

Our fabulous debut album, Betcha Bottom Dollar, will be available in all good shops (and some bad ones) as of the 31st of July. Plus, we're playing lots of gigs over the summer, the pick of which include Latitude Festival (of course), Lovebox and Fruitstock festival among many others. For full listings, as well as make-up and culinary tips - and an Agony Aunt column - visit www.thepuppinisisters.com

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

The best festival experience ever was being part of the cast of ghouls on Marisa Carnesky's Ghost Train in Glastonbury last year. Duties included creeping up to people in the dark (many genuine screams were let out), and emerging as a severed head from a suitcase, as well as singing creepy songs on the train platform.

It was a brilliant and strangely moving show.

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival? Do you have anything special planned?

Well we are looking forward to it 'cos it will be the first UK festival we do this year, and I think more people have heard from us since last years fest season so it'll be fun I hope....some festival riffs will come out from our guitars that's for sure.

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

Well I think it is a kind of an intimate festival if you know what I mean, we just came back from Australia and we played a few festivals over there but the kind of "small" ones were you are able to walk from tent to tent in less than 5 minutes and the vibe is very chilled.

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

Unfortunately we won't be able to stay at all, as we have to take a plane to Italy very early the next morning; but I if I could I'd check Mogwai, The Zutons, and Declan O'Rourke who's a good friend of ours...

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

Well summer fests in Europe and September will be our first US tour, the label is very excited and the album will be out at the same time. The support from there has been amazing so we'll see....

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

Yes, the toilets!!!

Polly Scattergood http://www.pollyscattergood.com

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival? Do you have anything special planned?

This is my first big festival so it will be special, I'm planning on doing a few new songs but with my set its hard to plan as I usually decide what I'm going to play the day before and then get up there and end up doing something completely different depending on how I'm feeling an if the suns shining

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

I like the idea of having a festival which combines so many different creative arts all coming together for a big weekend of beautiful strange and artistic togetherness

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

Antony & the Johnson's an Mogwai

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

I have been doing lots of gigs around London and also we are just starting work on my debut album.

5.) Do you have any interesting festival stories?

One of my friends once had his tent with all stuff in stolen he only realised when he went to get in it after a hard night partying that it had gone there wasn't much he could do so he just slept where his tent had been in his clothes under the stars in the morning he woke up an someone had stolen his shoes!

Nathan Fake http://www.nathanfake.co.uk

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival? Do

you have anything special planned?

It's part of my album tour so I'm playing my album tunes.. and my friend vincent will be providing live visuals too which he plays from his laptop.

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

I like the fact that it's so near to where I live actually, I live in Norfolk. Also Mogwai are playing.

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

Mogwai.

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to

tours, performances, new releases etc)?

We're carrying on touring just till the start of September, we'll be doing the big chill and Bestival which will be nice, I've never been to the isle of Wight.

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

Last weekend we played this nice festival in France and we met quite a lot of famous people and hung out with Matmos for a while, which was lovely. They are very funny and loads of fun. I can't really remember many things about festivals or gigs in general. Vincent usually ends up getting very drunk and asking people to fight him. Actually it's without fail, not usually.

The Former Bullies' Nick Ainsworth www.formerbullies.com

1.) What can we expect from your performance at latitude festival? Do you have anything special planned?

We are going to play hard & fast. I may play in shorts. Tom may take his shirt off. I guess that's special!

2.) What aspect of latitude festival appeals to you the most?

I really like the fact that all the arts are represented in one form or another. That's a good thing!

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

Patti Smith & The Lemonheads.

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

Debut album coming out sometime soon-ish.

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

I seem to make a different friend cry at every festival I attend. The truth hurts!

Frank Turner http://www.frank-turner.com

1.) What can we expect from your performance at Latitude Festival?

The usual, me n my guitar and a bunch of stories about wasting my life!

2.) What aspect of Latitude festival appeals to you the most?

I like the fact of having a new festival with a slightly more folky outlook. That and the fact that the Lemonheads are playing... Oh. My. God!

3.) Who are you most looking forward to seeing?

The Lemonheads, and then probably meeting up with my mate Kid Harpoon too.

4.) What have you got coming up in the near future (in relation to tours, performances, new releases etc)?

I'm heading out to Eastern Europe for a few weeks in July and August before hitting the studio in September time to record an album, which should hopefully be out right at the start of next year.

5.) Do you have you have interesting festival stories?

At Leeds Festival last year I ran into Brian Baker, who was the bass player in Minor Threat, one of my all-time favourite bands. Contrary to all the Straight Edge stuff, we ended up chatting for a few hours over quite a few beers. Good times.
