Wolfmother - Love Train
Emily Tartanella 19/09/2006
Rating: 3/5
Like Robert Plant still riding high on a massive afterglow, “Love Train” is so fabulously cheesy you'd think it came with a copy of Desperate Housewives and a pair of Ugg boots. A predatory, swaggering stomp, this single seems destined to establish the Aussie trio as the heirs to the big-haired, tightly-crotched musicians of yore.
The case could be made that, seeing as this recently popped up in an Ipod commercial, the 'Mother has sold out. But that would be wrong - it implies a self-righteous sense of “integrity,” when really all Wolfmother want to do is rock. And, apparently, take you for a ride on their love train. Who could say no?
