All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret

What can I say about this single? Fans of All American Rejects will probably quite like it as it follows the same tired formula that's expounded time and time again by identikit American rock acts. It's not interesting musically, or exciting. It is utterly mundane, almost entirely devoid of hooks of any form and from start to finish oozes… well, absolutely nothing actually. I should think you'd have a hard time dancing to it even. Lyrically it's incredibly lightweight (as you'd probably expect). Lines like “I'll keep you my dirty little secret…just another regret” just make you want to shout 'OH SOD OFF!' at the CD player.
Having said all this though, it serves it's purpose I suppose (assuming of course it has one).
