Paramore - Emergency

Emergency, the latest single from Tennessee natives and Vans Warped Tour alumni Paramore, is generic melodic punk-rock on first listen. However, several things combine to make the band perhaps more worthy of our attention: their feisty female lead Hayley, a catchy chorus with its assertion that “I've seen you cry way too many times, when you deserve to be alive” and the fact that although this isn't going to trigger epiphanies of the highest order, it's a pretty damn good tune. Props to the drummer too, only 15 years old and it's all in time and everything. God bless Pro Tools, eh?
