Meeky Rosie - Nobody Get’s Away Ep

Hailing from Devon, this five piece are obviously hoping to follow in the footsteps of their fellow Devonians Muse and Chris Martin to break out into the big time. Thankfully though they're not a carbon copy of the first and certainly don't produce the MOR crap that Chris Martin seems to pass out of his backside on a regular basis. Instead their sonic landscape is closer to a mixture of Oceansize, or The Cooper Temple Clause on ketamine although with an ear for the melodic and less for the angst, blending together to form a rather lush sonic landscape.

'Nobody Get's Away' itself has a alt-anthemic feel to it without being to linear whilst 'Blackhole' is a rather more delicate affair with it's keyboard intro and Jeff Buckley hummed harmony. The final track is a Jagz Kooner remix of the title track makes up the final song and is definitely one of the better re-mixes out there, a velvety slice of electronica and synths to compliment the rest of the Ep.
