Rating: 3.5/5
Glenn Gregory and Keith Lowndes are Honeyroot, who's album 'The Sun Will Come' has been released to rave reviews. This single, lifted from the album, showcase the diverse nature of the duo's talents.
'Nobody Loves You (The Way I Do)' is a sublimely crafted chill-out summer song, that echoes the influences of Air, Massive Attack and Portishead. The relaxed vibe of the track is such that you could easily lie down and never wake up. The wonderful vocal is matched by a dreamy backing that Zero 7 would be proud of. 'Heavy Drops' is the antithesis of it's sister track. A bright burst of sunlight with disco leanings and bleeps aplenty, it is a refreshing blast of cool air that is attractive and instantly emjoyable.
Honeyroot have a vast range of ideas demonstrated on these two songs and should pick up a diverse audience with these two instantly appealing musical moments.
