On the back of an indie-cult following, thanks to the success of songs like “K-Hole”, Ali Love has changed direction somewhat with “Secret Sunday Lover” in the build-up to the release of his debut album.

Unashamedly shiny and highly produced, “Secret Sunday Lover” is a slice of danceable, retro electro-pop. Sounding like a funkadelic song from the Jamiroquai back catalogue, it would serve as a great disco track with syncopated, offbeat rhythms and repetitive sequences.

All in all then, a good outing and an outside bet for a sneaky single
