Haunts - Low Slung City Skyline

North London quartet Haunts release their debut single 7” 'Low Slung City Skyline'. The band, who are releasing the single independently, are building up a large following thanks to their extensive touring schedule and dynamic stage shows. After supporting the likes of Funeral For A Friend, the foursome have found themselves firmly racing up on the outside rails to take the lead in the new wave/alternative scene.

The song kicks in with stuttering drums which lead into a driving guitar riff that provides the backbone of the track. With a brilliantly broody vocal melody and vitriolic lyrics, Kevin Banks and his assembled cohorts snarl their way through the three and a half minute stompathon which, in it's quieter spots, whilst being full of angst and a worry about just where it is we're all going to, allows an over-riding feeling of positivity to sneak through unnoticed.

A band firmly on the rise, Haunts are embarking on a 16 date nationwide month long tour in November, taking in London (of course), Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham and Glasgow amongst others. With only 500 copies of the single pressed, demand is certain to be high for this initial offering from one of the bands to watch out for in the next 18 months.
