Cut Off Your Hands - Expectations
Alex Skinner 18/08/2008
Rating: 3.5/5
Indie poppers Cut Off Your Hands have high expectations for their single 'Expectations'. COYH's are an energy-filled band with a wedge of well chorused melodies, as if they were raised by a pack of rhythmical wolves.
The New Zealand four-piece are set for a productive time on the road amongst big names to rub shoulders with; The Wombats and Black Kids to name drop a few.
Short, sweet and sharp enough to slice, wailing modern indie pop love songs with a seasoning of irony may just be what the doctor ordered. They clearly have the goods in their catchy numbers, abd mix that with a hefty energetic fun bag of a set list, they cannot fail.
The debut album will surface this summer.
'Expectations' is expected 18/08/08.
