'In The New Year', is the second single for The Walkmen's fourth album 'You & Me' and while the album has been heralded as "the best thing they've ever done" on drownedinsound.com, been given 4 stars in Q magazine and an impressive 5 stars from The Guardian, it's difficult to see why from this single.

Cluttering guitars, drum cymbal splashing and wailing make up 'In The New year' and while lyrically, The Walkmen seem impressive, from a song writing perspective, there is nothing here that bands like Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire haven't already achieved to a higher standard.
