It is no surprise to me that two of the members of Miike Snow have written and produced work for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Madonna and also picked up a Grammy for their work on Britney Spears' 'Toxic'. Their single, Animal, is a fine example of over produced indie pop full of head boppability, a sing-a-long chorus and dare I say it, hints of that it's so relevant right now it's cool, indie synth sound.

This is by no means a terrible thing, there is no doubt that this is a well written and recorded single and that it will probably find its way onto some advert and plague us over what is left of the summer but vocally it isn't strong enough for me to capture and admire any lyrics and musically it feels about as original as putting on some tracksuit bottoms and going down the park to drink some Cider on a friday night.

Avoid unless you are one of those cool kids.
