With winter drawing ever closer, the need to pack away our summery things and reach for something altogether cosier and more comforting increases. The same logic can be applied to music as well as to clothes. Thankfully along come Fanfarlo with not only an album (Reservoir) but also a preceding single release in 'The Walls Are Coming Down'.

The intertwining tones of the whole complement of Fanfarlo instruments, including violin, mandolin and trumpet, slowly envelop the listener wrapping them in a warmth fit for this time of the year. Over the lilting melody sit the distinctive vocals and perfectly harmonised backing vocals. The whole package draws you in and before you realise it, you have it on repeat.

In accompaniment to the single is a video made by renowned visual artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. It features are of Europe's only professional escapologists Roslyn Walker while the band have fun playing along underneath Walker's Houdini-inspired suspended straight jacket escape.

While there is no getting away from the Beirut-esque sound to 'The Walls Are Coming Down', there is a little something extra here - a special element which gives this single a heart that is bound to draw you in.
