This Et Al - Wardens/Rotary Queen

For decades Leeds was nothing but a barren musical wasteland, but its present resurgence has just caught its second wind, in the form of This Et Al. Like Test Icicles or ˇForward Russia!, this gang of angry sonic insurgents create an astonishingly compelling noise. Without stretching the West Yorkshire connection too far, 'Wardens' mixes the vocal tones of Ricky Kaiser with a violent soundtrack to thrilling effect. On the flip side, what 'Rotary Queen' lacks in sheer volume, it compensates in atmospheric depth. You can bet that as we speak, the NME are wetting their pants with fear and excitement.
