Korn - Twisted Transistor

I hate Korn, so sue me. Well, actually, that's not true. I used to hate Korn. Right now, I'd like to kiss the funky rhythms, marry the ingeniously catchy Manson-esque lyrics, make sweet love to their guitar riffs and bear the child of the bass line that make their latest effort, the gorgeously alliterated, “Twisted Transistor” a bloody corker.

Now, in truth, it's not all that different to some of the older tracks I've heard, but there is something, something completely indefinable that sets it apart from the rest, for me anyway. If you think you can identify this song's X-Factor, answers on a postcard, please.

It features an abundance of 'Hey You, Hey You's throughout the verses which, when paired with the dazzling drum beat and rhythmically well-fitted lyrics, absolutely hammer a rock-steady thumper of song into your face which performs some sort of sick witchcraft on your mind and forces, yes, forces you turn it up. I kid you not.

It is genius, embodied, in song form; quite honestly, I can't see this song doing anything but conquering world like some sort of pistol-wielding, alcoholic gang of youths would conquer your neighbourhood.

Watch out folks, the nuclear force that is, “Twisted Transistor” is coming to a dark alley near you, and it will rape your ears.
