Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers

You've got to take your hat off to Kylie, haven't you? She's been flying high in the charts for over twenty years, sold about forty-seven trillion records worldwide, fought off breast cancer, been awarded an OBE and, most impressively, launched her own signature range of bed linen in House of Fraser.

But, unfortunately, her latest single 'All The Lovers'', taken from her eleventh studio album 'Aphrodite', isn't quite up to her usual standards. Sure, its club beat and shimmering synths are pretty catchy, and you probably wouldn't turn it off if it came on the radio, but it seems to lack the personality that Kylie's songs usually have by the gallon. One of the reasons that Kylie's been so successful over the last couple of decades is her ability to evolve and adapt to blend in with the constantly changing musical trends, but maybe this would have been the perfect time for her to release something different, something bold that would really shake up today's otherwise bleak charts. However, although I'm sure there's plenty of Kylie fans who'll love it, frankly 'All The Lovers' is a bit too samey to really make a difference, and a bit too anonymous to even be remembered as a 'Kylie classic'.
