Temper Trap - Love Lost

Temper Trap appear to be the only recent band that have received mass hype from the taste makers and hit makers yet still manage to somehow receive blanket positive coverage from our writers here at GIITV. This across the board praise is mainly to do with the fact that the songs that are devised by the Aussie outfit appear to have an anthemic, grandiose aura that provides them with a sonic assault packed with pulsating riffs and pounding drums.

So, with some commercial success under their belt in the form of their breakthrough smash 'Sweet Disposition' and top ten album Conditions we see the arrival of their latest single 'Love Lost'.

It doesn't quite reach the euphoric heights that were witnessed on 'Sweet Disposition,' but it does leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, with its understated hand claps and cascade of intertwining riffs. Also, Mandagi's falsetto seems to have more depth and, well, 'oomph' to it. So when the song (in typical Temper Trap fashion) is about to propel head first into its atmospheric crescendo and he utters the words:

"I won't mistreat it"

"I promise"

You find yourself believing him just that little bit more.

As for the video, it'll take you on a trip down memory lane, making you remember the times you had to participate in those goddamn awful cross country races.
