Martin Grech - Guiltless
Benjamin Short 14/05/2006
Rating: 4/5
For those of you who remember Martin Grech in his former role as an ambassador for luxury Japanese cars, and thought that his debut album, 'Open Heart Zoo' sounded more than a little like Radiohead, this song will come as a shock. 'Guiltless' reveals a terrifying industrial metal aesthetic, which recalls Deftones and Depeche Mode. Martin Growls morbid lyrics in the vein of 'you kissed me and the wounds bled' as bursts of abstract neoclassical sound build towards the climax of this dramatic seven minute symphony. 'Guiltless' is a truly spectacular and original preview of the new album, 'Unholy', released on June 13th.
