Vessels - Hundred Times In Every Direction

A taster of what the debut album 'White fields and Open Devices' will be like later this summer time, the Vessels EP rolls its way into town.

The first single to be released 'A Hundred Times In Every Direction' is a well-produced track with rhythms aplenty. The extra additional drums give the track more girth and vocals seemingly erupt at the right juncture.

Thereafter 'Yuki' follows on with a more relaxed vibe. What's the meaning of the word? brave, snow or princess?! I don't know. What I do know is that the rework swindles nicely with acoustic guitar, a dash of piano and has a chirpy electronic presence.

I appreciate this EP more than other gifts such as Frankincense or Myrrh, or both put together, purely for the best track 'The Beast'. Myrrh for cripes sake!?

The beastie best track 'The Beast' is a fans' favourite probably because it's a monster with its meticulous ambient sounds…Then WHAMMY! A perfectly timed injection of drums and heavy basslines to masterfully create a rhythmically steady sound. Mellow electronica sounds wave you goodbye into the distance with 'Descent'. A band well worth checking out.
