The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition

Sweet Disposition has momentum, it's the everywhere song.

Chances are, you might not know its name, but you've heard it already in some commercial, in the radio background, and you definitely know already its infectious intro based on a very U2-ish guitar loop that stars as the main tune in the forthcoming "500 days of summer" movie which will feature Zoey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

And if you're quick and lucky enough to read this on the 10th August week, you can get it for free as it's this week's iTunes Single of the Week.

"Sweet Disposition" is the real lead single of The Temper Trap forthcoming debut album "Conditions" which, following it's Australian release in June, is set to hit shops in the UK on August 10th.

Its strength lays definitely in the guitar riff, which along with the fresh melody, the sweet falsetto pulled by singer Dougy Mandagi, the overlapping voice melodies and the infectious rhythm make it just a born and bred hit single, so much I am not sure the first one "Science Of Fear" will be remembered when compared to this.

Truth is, Korda Marshall knew very well what he was doing when he signed The Temper Trap as the first act in his newly revived Infectious Music (former home of acts such as Muse) and the radio and synchronization success it has encountered already is just set to be just the beginning of what I foresee as a very long life for this song. If this was 2005, this would be "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers, which kind of summarizes it all.
