A second Musima Elgita 24th April 2011

My second Musima Elgita has arrived! Not played it as the strings were encrusted and the fretboard extremely grubby, but the wiring is intact, untouched the electronics work fully. I think I prefer the burst on this older one, and the pickguard is pointier which is kinda cool.
Needs new knobs. These ones are weird and solid aluminium. Note the neck on my first Elgita (the one with metal-cased pickups) is a replacement made by Ant a couple of years ago (setchellguitars.co.uk). I still have the original neck, but since this is my main guitar I needed something a bit 'faster' so it's got the profile from my Fender AVRI Jazzmaster.

The one on the left is 1963-65, the right was made about 1973.
