Demon Fuzz
The Fredric Effects Demon Fuzz is a new take on a classic circuit. The late 70s EH Muff Fuzz was a great-sounding mid-gain fuzz with only a volume control to fiddle with. Originals are rare, fragile and expensive, so Fredric Effects have used the basic IC (integrated circuit) Muff Fuzz as the basis for the Demon Fuzz. We've added another couple of gain stages before before and after the Muff Fuzz. We've added a switch to select Germanium or Silicon clipping options - Germanium sounds more 'open', almost like an overdrive, whereas the silicon clipping is more crunchy and saturated. The latest version of Demon Fuzz adds a further massive-sounding 'Doomn' setting with for a full-on thick fuzz with scooped mids.
The Demon Fuzz artwork has been custom drawn by Stacey Hine, and is professionally screen printed onto each powder coated enclosure. Creative Review liked this artwork so much, they featured it in their music issue.
