Somewhat irked by some of the twee gashpop(c) bands we've been playing with recently, I wasn't expecting a great deal from Friday's Fortuna Pop! bill at the Buffalo Bar, but was really pleasantly surprised. Ambulance are an intense multi-instrumental sometimes Mercury Rev, sometimes purely stoner rock with stripped-down shanties and unruly facial hair. Brother Fransisco were delightfully noisy with a Dinosaur Jr/Barlow edge.

We've not got another show until 16th November, so I'm supposed to write song(s) in the meantime. Unfortunately no-one told work this.
