Fascinating article on Travis Bean guitars 12th March 2009

In the Missoula Independent of all places. Concerning a new Travis Bean documentary, it features excepts of interviews with Steve Albini and mentions Kevin Burkett of Electrical Guitar Company fame.

I was offered a TB500 by a friend for $3000 a few years ago, back when that was around £1700. I know I'd always worry about playing an irreplacable guitar like that out of the house, and that the 500-style Electrical Custom is a more sensible (and, I've been assured a better quality) proposition, but I'm still kicking myself I didn't go for it.
